Here are some pictures of my Dress a Sasha entry. I created the complete outfits based on a picture of two adorable children from the early 1900's. This was a labor of love. I had to 1st create the patterns for both outfits. The lace on the dress collar is hand knit and was found at an antique store in Crosby MN. I made tights out of black knee-high women's socks. I even created real leather shoes for the Sasha and toddler. These outfits were challenging but very fun to make. Enjoy!

Congratulations! Your attention to detail is superb! You must be thrilled to have done so well, I imagine the standard of the entries was very high!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and well done! Your entry is super and deserved to be one of the winners!
ReplyDeleteVery well deserved - I looked at Tom Beach's photos of all the entries and think that the best ones got the prizes. Isn't it satisfying working on a project like this. I loved working on my dress a Sasha entry for last year's festival, even though it didn't win any prizes.
ReplyDeleteI do like a challenge. In 2011 my entry tied for 3rd place.
ReplyDeleteYour entry was fabulous and I think you reproduced the photo so faithfully. A well deserved placing!
