Challenges and one of a kind shoe designs

Every once in a while I accept challenges and create one of a kind shoe designs. Sometimes these will become part of my shoe line to sell,  but sometimes they are just too time consuming.

Here’s several examples from this past year:

2020 what a year!

Oh, my what a year 2020 has been. Sickness, quarantines, and all fun events cancelled. I’ve found myself taking time out and having creative solitude at my cabin to get me through. I’ve come up with many new clothing and shoe designs. I guess life is what you make it. I choose to make it productive and fun!

Here’s a couple examples of some new designs.

October Design Challenge: Toddler Boots

Here’s my entry for the October Design Challenge. These Sasha toddler boots are all leather suede and feature a button closure in the back. I’ve also added a picture of the adorable outfit I created to coordinate with the boot to show the height of the boots.

September Design Challenge: Go-Go Boots

Since it’s the last day of September, here’s my current design. These go-go boots are very much like the ones I enjoyed wearing as a child. They are all leather with applied soles.

Oh Baby! Sasha Studio Baby Shoes

I was challenged to create a special shoe for a Sasha Studio Baby. These all leather shoes feature a soft sole and buckles.

What’s Up in the Studio?

I’ve been super busy finishing up shoe orders and getting ready for our Minnesota Sasha meeting. Here are some of the projects I’ve been working on.

Esther’s Overalls

I recently spent some time at my cabin and took some time out creating new overalls for Esther. Here’s some pictures of what I came up with. The shirt was made by a dear friend.

July Design Challenge

I decided to create a cute trendy sandal for Sasha and toddler. I love the way the toddler size turned out. I used a stiff white leather on my pattern mock up and I liked them so well I made another pair.
On the Sasha size I tried a thin leather and it was way too thin. I’ll be reworking the Sasha size with thicker leather and a smaller sole. Watch my blog for future sales.

2019 Festival sales table shoes

Here’s a few pictures of the shoes I made for my sales table at this year’s Sasha Festival. I tried to make a variety of styles and colors. I’ll be listing shoes and clothing on this blog for sale in the near future, so check back often.
